As part of the celebrations for Marseille as the European Capital of Culture in 2013, the Municipality of Piraeus actively participated in the events held from July 28th to 31st. Our company, Mythworld Ltd., played a pivotal role in developing and organizing a diverse program of activities. One of the highlights was a captivating video projection showcasing the modern-day transformation of the city, complemented by a curated collection of historical photographs depicting Piraeus throughout the 19th and 20th centuries.

Over the course of their endeavor, they tirelessly snapped over 100,000 photographs, meticulously documenting every aspect of this vibrant location.
These awe-inspiring images served as the foundation for the creation of two mesmerizing time-lapse videos. Employing their expertise and artistic vision, Mythworld’s talented team skillfully applied the popular “miniature” tiny world effect, also known as the “tilt-shift effect,” to bring these videos to life. Through this remarkable technique, they masterfully transformed the bustling metropolis of Piraeus into a captivating toy-like miniature world.
